After graduating from Florida State with a BA in marketing and a minor in music. Bruce began a career in business. Several years ago, Bruce had the opportunity to combine his passion for music with a love of writing. He began seeking out new live and recorded music and writing music reviews, artist interviews, CD liner notes, concert and venue critiques, promotional pieces and various radio/Internet segments focused on the jazz scene. He also works with young musicians through mentoring programs. This show we will have a legend in the world of MMA Idaho's biggest name on the show Jens "Lil Evil" Pulver. Our guest Jens "Lil Evil" Pulver is the first UFC lightweight champion, and past Ultimate Fighter season 5 coach. Pulver began wrestling in sixth grade and went on to win two high school state championships. Pulver went to Highline Community College where he became an NJCAA All-American by placing in the top eight at the NJCAA National Championships and later came to BSU before an injury ended his career. Jens began fighting in underground MMA matches before getting into organized MMA events like the Bas Rutten Invitational. Jens began training with Bob Shamrocks team after winning his second invite to Bas' event, but later found his home in Iowa with Pat Miletich. Jens has fought for the UFC, Pride, and WEC to name a few orginizations. He has fought names like Caol Uno, B.J. Penn, and Urijah Faber. Jens will be coming back to fight Javier Vazquez March 6, 2010. Jens is back in Boise opening Driven TC and Driven II. We will talk to him about all of this, his thoughts on Idaho MMA, and much more. Some of you might wonder who the hell I am talking about, but if you have ever seen the work ethic from WEC rising star Scott Jorgensen then don't look any further then Brock to see where he gets it. Brock is 11-5 as a pro and coming off a win at the Playboy Fight Night 2. It's no secret to anyone who knows Brock that the man has the tools to take the fight to the ground. Brock was a 2X Alaska high school wrestling state champion, who after high school attended BSU (Boise State) and went on to become a 2x PAC-10 Conference Champion, 1x PAC-10 Conference Runner-up, 3x NCAA National Championships Qualifier. Brock fights at 135lbs and will be taking on Justin Robbins this coming weekend. Zach "Hollywood" Owens is a previous guest and a fighter we believe could be one of Idaho's future stars. He is known for his kicks and running right through the opponents put in front of him. He is a tall skinny kid who loves to stand and bang, that puts on a show and always gets a crowd behind him. He will be making his pro debut this weekend against Tallon Hofman. His teammate Casey "Wildstyle" Johnson is a crowd favorite as well, sometimes as the hero sometimes as the heel. Johnson welcomes it all and just like his teammate comes to bang and when he is on a card you are in store for a show. Johnson has been another big name in Boise for MMA holding a past CCF belt and holding a great amateur record. Johnson like Owens will be making his pro debut on this card under the Driven Training Team Banner. We also have Jens Pulver on to talk about his arrival on Idaho MMA and why he wants what he wants.
